Jon's Experiment on Human Preference

Objective: To discover if cost affects taste buds

Procedure: Six free Diet Dr. Peppers have been placed on top of the Coke machine. Soft drinks in the machine cost 50 cents. A comparison will be made between the rate of consumption for the free diet soft drinks and those at the normal cost.

Day 1: 6 Diet Dr. Peppers

Day 2: Still 6 Diet Dr. Peppers

Day 3: Still 6 Diet Dr. Peppers

Day 4: Only 5! Who's the cheap bastard?

Day 5: 4 left, 1 pledge hospitalized.
"This is better than vodka," says Marvin

Day 6: Still 4 left. No one living in the house has touched one.

Day 7: 4 left. People have wised up. Or maybe it was payday.

day 8: I tire of keeping this log.

Conclusion: Diet Dr. Pepper tastes so bad that we can't give it away. Recommend immediate removal of all quantities for appropriate disposal and no future purchases with fraternity funds.

Experiment performed by Jon Estes, pledge class Fall 1997. Excess Diet Dr. Pepper disposed of by Waste Management Systems, Toxic Materials Division.
