Why Phi Kappa Theta?
Rush Schedule
Because we have a good time! Being a student at Georgia Tech is hard
work, and everybody needs to kick back and enjoy themselves. Becoming a
brother in Phi Kappa Theta means you'll have a group of friends that
believe in the same ideals as you, but with interests as varied as yours.
Ultimate Frisbee, river rafting, mountain biking, hiking, and intramural
sports; board games, video games, anime, movies, foosball, ping pong, the
list is endless. If you have any kind of interest, you're sure to find
someone at Phi Kappa Theta that shares your enthusiasm, or is willing to
give it a try.
Phi Kappa Theta is also ethnically diverse, with brothers and alumni from
around the world. From France to India, Bulgaria to Japan, you'll find
that we attract people with global interests. Never been to a certain
country? Ask around - chances are, you'll find someone in Phi Kappa Theta
who has. Prefer the U.S.? Road trips are a fine part of our history, and
the stories they generate are even better.
Of course, Phi Kappa Theta parties are a blast! From the Halloween
Costume Party to Redneck Rampage, the St. Patrick's Day Celebration to the
Post Rush Blitz, we'll throw a party whenever we (and our school studies)
can. Not a big party person? No problem - there's always a quiet spot
where you can hang out with friends, and still have loads of fun.
Academically, Phi Kappa Theta ranks right up with the Greek average, which
is higher than the non-Greek average. Why? From our 'Word' archive of
notes, quizzes, and tests, to the diverse number of majors in the
fraternity, to the number of TA's (teacher assistants), Phi Kappa Theta is
geared towards your academic success. Stumped on some homework? Ask a
brother to lend a hand. Cramming for that killer Calc 2 test? See if
anyone's cramming with you, or ask somebody who took it last semester for
hints. Phi Kappa Theta abounds with academic opportunities ready for you
to use.
Feel like taking charge and making a difference? Step right up - Phi
Kappa Theta is the right spot for you. Feel like chairing Greek
Week/Homecoming? How about Secretary, or Vice President? Learning to
take on responsibility and work with others is an important skill in
today's world. Where better to learn the ropes than with a group of
friends, who've been in your shoes and know some tricks of the trade?
The best way to see if Phi Kappa Theta is right for you, even if you like
what you read above, is to come visit us. Meet the brothers of Phi Kappa
Theta, grab some food, get to know us, and have a good time. In the end,
Phi Kappa Theta is about having fun while at Georgia Tech. We hope you'll
choose Phi Kappa Theta, and when you're telling stories to your grandkids,
you'll look back at your college career and remember all the good times
you had with your new-found friends.
