Extra Life for Kids 2003 Recap:

Phi Kappa Theta's first annual Extra Life for Kids Game-a-Thon was a success! We had many gamers come down and play for an attempted 48 hours, raising almost $3000 for a great cause. Due to dedication of staff, gamer, and sponsors, we were able to do this fun and philanthropic event and for those people, a hearty thank you is deserved. Likewise, we would like to thank those in the gaming world who helped us, namely the good people at Microsoft, Penny Arcade, and MegaTokyo. It would not have been possible without some serious hard-core work (and game) ethic.

On the subject of hard-core, 4 gamers made the 48 hour mark to enter the pantheon of super-gamers. Thier names shall be recorded here for history to emblazon in everlasting gold: Mostafa Alattar, John Swisshelm, James Martini, and Carlos Robledo. We salute you!

For the future, we will be looking to increase the size and magnitude of the event as well as the amount we will raise. Our sights are set high and with the support of those interested parites, we can make this into something truly great. Format changes can be expected as well, but it will retain the same great idea of doing something we love for a cause we care about.

Again, thank you all for your support!
